Ximo Tebar was born in Valencia. Guitarist, teacher, composer and renowned producer by the international press as an experimental, progressive musician and innovator that has allowed him to be honored as the creator of the Son Mediterraneo (Fusion of jazz and flamenco with Mediterranean flavor), a suite that opened in Vitoria 20 years ago when played in the first part of Phil Collins Big Band.

At seventeen years of age he was a professional and was recognized as one of the Spanish jazz guitarists with more projection. Since then he has toured and recorded throughout Spain, Europe and America leading his own group with prestigious soloists such as: Lou Bennett, Johnny Griffinn, Benny Golson, Joe Lovano, Tom Harrell, Tete Montoliu, Anthony Jackson, Lou Donaldson, Louie Bellson, Joey DeFrancesco, Jan Ackerman, etc. His international presence led him to take up his residence in Manhattan in 2004, where he introduced in the New York jazz scene signing a record deal with Sunnyside Records, and began to work with Arturo O'Farrill with the Chico O'Farrill Afro Cuban Jazz Orchestra acting every Sunday at the Jazz Birland Club. During his stay in New York he was part of the group Riza Negra besides Joe Lovano, Tom Harrell, Dave Samuels, John Benitez, Dafnis Prieto and Arturo O'Farril, and he collaborated on tours and recordings with Lou Donaldson, Benny Golson, Joey DeFrancesco, Dr. Lonnie Smith, Louie Bellson, Anthony Jackson, Johnny Griffin, Tom Harrell, Idris Muhammad, and Dave Schnitter playing in landmark concert halls such as the Apollo Theater, Jazz at Lincoln Center, Smoke, Dizzy's Jazz etc.
